Here's what will be covered in each of the
7 WEEKLY MODULES:
Session 1: Journey to Meet Your Guardian Spirits in the Lower World
In this session, we will create sacred space to begin our work.
Shamans work in the invisible realms so we must leave our daily concerns behind us to tap into the love, compassion, guidance, and healing available to us from the helping spirits of the transcendent realms. We will look at ways that we can step away from our daily life and thoughts that might prevent us from entering into the unseen realms to meet up with helping spirits.
Our seven weeks of work together is a ceremony. And every ceremony has a beginning, middle, and end. We begin our ceremony by engaging in preparation work to step fully into the circle that has gathered and to let go of our ordinary thoughts and concerns that act as an anchor. Our anchors to the ordinary world hold us back from fully entering into the invisible realms where healing and guidance awaits us.
In the first week, you will learn how to prepare for your journeywork and then Sandra will guide you in a Lower World journey to meet up with power animals or guardian spirits. After returning from the journey Sandra will talk about how you can set up an altar at home to create sacred space.
Session 2: Journey to the Upper World to Meet a Teacher to Receive Guidance and Healing
In this session, we will journey to the Upper World to meet a teacher in human form – such as a deceased ancestor, a mystical figure, a religious figure, or a god or goddess.
During this journey you will have the opportunity to ask an important question of your teacher.
You will then ask your teacher to take you to a place in the unseen realms where you can receive a healing such as, The River of Grief or a healing cave. This is a time for you to look at some of your past wounds and how they have reshaped into the being you are today.
We will end our session by performing a virtual ceremony where each person in our circle will receive a healing from the helping spirits we bring through.
Session 3: Middle World Journeying and Working with the
Elements as Allies
We will begin this session by welcoming our circle and connecting with the Spirit of Land where you live, the Hidden Folk, and the elements earth, air, water, and fire.
Then Sandra will lead a guided exercise to explore your Inner World and the garden that is growing within you. You will look at how to cultivate your inner garden with the energies you wish to see grow. For in life what we feed grows. You will look at what “seed words, thoughts, and daydreams” are growing within you that end up manifesting the life you are leading and the world we are living in.
You will journey to discover a Middle World ally – helping spirit – earth, air, water, fire, sun, moon, etc. to call upon its power and strength. You might also have the ocean or spirit of a mountain as ally. These are just some examples of the spiritual allies available to us. This element will perform a healing in your behalf as well as teach you how to call on and absorb its power.
The element who volunteers to be an ally might be one you do not relate to in ordinary reality or have a fear about.
Session 4: Dreaming A Good Dream for Ourselves and All of Life
We begin this session with gathering as a circle and letting go of ordinary concerns and the day to be fully present in the spiritual practices we are performing together.
Shamanic cultures embrace the teaching that life is an illusion and is a dream. Shamans as well as community members paid special attention to the thoughts and daydreams they focused on throughout the day. For our thoughts and daydreams do shape the world we live in.
Journey to your future self and ask for advice on steps you took that led you to creating a good future and get advice on creating good goals and discover what you feel passionate about doing.
In this journey you will ask to receive guidance on the difference between trying to “control” versus the need to “focus”. What is the difference of control versus holding a positive vision and strong focus on our dreams and visions?
Our ego and personality holds onto dreams that are not always best for us. It is so important to loosen our grip on how we try and control life instead of entering into a state of flow with The River of Life. Once we answer the call of shamanism we learn how to accept what life brings us instead of always fighting life.
Session 5: Releasing Old Thought Patterns That No Longer Serve You
Sandra will begin this session by sharing how our ancestors and descendants are helping spirits. They live in the transcendent realms where they continue to hold us in love and support our path to being healthy, happy, and manifesting our dreams. They always stand behind us and have our backs.
In the path of shamanism it is understood that thoughts are things. It is critical for the health of the collective to learn how to express our feelings and then also learn how to transform and transmute the energy behind our thoughts and feelings. We must identify the old hurts and beliefs that we are projecting onto others.
The journey you will perform is to explore your core blocking belief. The information you receive can be quite a surprise as usually the main core belief arose for most of us when we were pre-verbal. This belief might have been triggered by a look, an action, or words of an authority figure.
There might be an issue of forgiveness as a core blocking belief – do we need to forgive ourself or someone else?
There might be an old karmic contract that you made that needs to revised or broken.
There are releasing ceremonies we can perform on a regular basis. Sandra will share how to design ceremonies you can perform on a regular basis to release blocking beliefs, work with forgiveness, and transform your relationship with yourself and this reality.
Session 6: Initiation and Dismemberment
After welcoming everyone into the circle Sandra will talk to us about how elders created initiation ceremonies to help people move gracefully through the transitions in life and all the changes that life bring us. Initiations help us honor the cycle of death, dissolution and dismemberment into rememberment, rebirth, and illumination.
In shamanism a vision of dismemberment marked entering into a new life of life where our ego is rescultped and we evolve more into living from a higher vibration and frequency.
Sandra will lead us in a classic shamanic dismemberment journey where a helping spirit will dismember you, wash your bones and organs, and give you an experience of being one with Source.
During this purification journey you will lose your ego and remember your true identity and the Source of life you were born from.
After such a visionary experience of dismemberment initiates would often return with clairvoyant, clairaudient, or clairsentient abilities to become more powerful shamans and healers.
Session 7: The Healing Power of Working with Light and Unity
Perception creates reality. You must learn how to use your strong eye to see your life and world around you by looking through eyes of spirit.
In this final session, we are continuing our work of last week and going deeper into remembering our true nature which is divine spiritual light. Sandra will talk about the practice of transfiguration – using light to heal ourselves, others, and the planet. We heal by our presence and radiating versus sending.
In our journeywork, we want to look at how these energies impact us and all of life. And to add a new dimension of awareness around these energies, we will discover the power of radiating light versus sending light.
You will be encouraged to bridge the practices of transmutation and transfiguration into daily life so you are lit from within. It is important to not separate our spiritual practices from how we live our life whether we are driving, standing in line at the grocery store, at work and so on.
In our final journey together, we will learn to transfigure into our authentic self which is divine light. This practice will lead us into our virtual ceremony where we will learn how to use the process of transfiguration for healing. Sandra will encourage us to share this ceremony with loved ones and in our local communities.
We will perform a closing of our seven-week ceremony together.
