I have a sneak peek video from our upcoming docuseries Remedy: Ancient Medicines For Modern Illness to share with you today.
Over the past year, we’ve interviewed some of the most remarkable voices in the realm of natural healing – including herbalists, physicians, naturopathic doctors and scientists – to bring forward the most promising medicinal plants for the diseases of our time.
In the short clip below, you’ll meet Dr. Tieraona Low Dog – a dedicated physician and respected herbalist who has been advocating for the use of plant-based medicines for the past two decades.
Tieraona will be journeying into our collective past to discuss the unexplainable connection that we humans have had with wild medicines since our prehistory.
She will be diving into a question that has historians scratching their heads to this day – How did civilizations around the world (who had no contact with one another) know to use the exact same herbs for the exact same illnesses and spiritual needs?
In the end, her words are likely to leave you feeling enchanted, amazed and inspired 🙂

Stay tuned for more details on our upcoming Remedy docuseries – it premieres in a few weeks (Episode 1 airs on September 5th).
We’ll be sending details on how to watch the full series soon!
Stay curious,

This is something I want to learn as much as possible about. I have high blood pressure and I am on medication for that. I really don’t want to stay on it the rest of my life.
Bless you for these reminding words of love to be in a more personal relationship with our closest ally’s,
Our plant relations. I am going to start in my back yard and ask them all their names.
Thank you!
I just watched your video do you have herbal classes at your facility in Tucson
I live in Las Vegas my garden is very green I grow fruit but can’t grow herbs too hot but I’ve always had a fascination with growing things being outside being in nature would love to hear from you
Fabulous…good timing too…as I am entering healing 2.0. Thank you so much!
It surprises me a little that you find it mystifying that the same discoveries were made on different parts of the world without intercommunication. Just to stick with the example of Vervain – as far as I know, everybody thinks it smells delicious, if not tastes as good. Aren’t we equipped with senses which we are meant to use, like the rest of the animal world?
sounds like the hundredth monkey concept

There’s an old book with a title something like “How Native Americans used Wild Plants”. It’s based on records taken down by a government official who worked with the various tribes. He was interested in their traditions and documented these. I recall where he wrote about visiting a tribe and speaking with its ‘medicine woman’ who told him what plants they used and for what purpose. He was curious as to how she knew what worked. To test her he dug up a root somewhere, took it to her and asked her what it was good for. She said that she was familiar with the plant and told him what they used it for and then surprised him by saying that she would have known what it was good for even if she had never seen it before. Paracelsus could do the same. Medieval herbalists spoke of the ‘virtues’ of plants which they recognised from the characteristic form and behaviour of the plants. In a sense they were ‘reading’ plants as we might ‘read’ a person, but there was maybe another level to older wisdom when people still believed in ‘fairies’ – what I have come to know as ‘elemental beings’ – who could reveal nature’s secrets to those who believed in them.
Great – loved what she had to say and especially love her question – How did they know!!!!
Jeremy Narby would say that the plants told them. That certainly takes a unique way of listening. Thanks for this short clip.
When you develop your intuition well enough, it’s like the universe just tells you every step you need to take. It’s a “sixth sense” everybody has the ability to use even though it’s atrophied in most people today. If you want to know what it’s like, think of artists or musicians who create amazing works. If asked how they decided to use this color or that musical chord, they shrug and say their intuition told them to. It’s just opening up a direct line to the universe (or God if you prefer) where all true knowing comes from.
For those people who believe in the existence of the Almighty God the FATHER the creator of heavens and the earth where we are living in (Acts 17:26 Holy Bible) and all the things therein living and non living visible and invisible, healing of sicknesses and diseases can be obtained through/by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving to GOD (Philippians 4:6-7}.
Really enjoyed Dr. Tieraona words about getting to know the plants around us 🙂 I felt really connected!
And I totally agree that we should have botanics and a closer relationship with the Earth since young age! I think every nation in the world is walking towards that direction 🙂
Thank you!
Very, very interesting and most interested in what was here before man started poisoning everything….modern medicine not helping me.
Thank you. We must all nurture that knowing that exists within us. We are creating a new Earth.
There is another strain of Vervain that enhances blood purification and help Allergies found in Trinidad and all Caribbean islands part of the Southern Territory. My ancestors used it as does my family.
How did cultures living on different continents without any known contact come to use vervain in a similar way? Is it possible the plants were asked to share their medicine with the people? In Plant Spirit Medicine, as taught by Eliot Cowan, healers learn to journey to the spirits of local plants without the use of any substances and in most instances, when asked, the plant will reveal the medicine (s)he has to offer. Working along side our plant sisters and brothers can be a life changing experience. Check out Eliot’s book if this calls to you.
Outside of signing up for this webinar series, where could you go to find course for herbalism in Northeast USA? 🙂 Thank you!
There’s a thing called “collective concsiousness”, that we all share. Our ancestors had an amazing connection with the nature, they lived in the nature, whereas people today live in lifeless concrete jungles and spend their free time in smartphones/PC-s/watching TV.
Sadly, modern society has buried that collective concsiousness deep down inside underneath logical and rational way of thinking, supressing intuition.
We are being recommended to use toothpaste with fluoride, but they don’t tell you that fluoride is smuthering our pineal gland, the door to our sixth sense! So people wouldn’t use their inner voice, that would say: “Hey, this thing looks dodgy…don’t trust it”.
We all need to take responsibility to think with our own head and heart, instead of believing everything that’s beeing fed to us by the “healthcare”, politicians etc. Do your own diligance.
Thank you for having English subtitles in this video. Please make your Sacred Science documentary equipped with English subtitles as well. Thank you!
I’ve had an amazing experience of having interspecies communication happen on a telepathic level. I grew potted plants outside of my apartment with the manager’s permission. Grew various veggies and a lot of herbs. I loved being in their presence as they were a happy group and could sense them giggling whenever I sat out and ate my lunch near them. One night, after a very busy day, as I was laying in bed, suddenly I “heard” a very faint voices, “Please water us.” I shot out of my bed in great alarm and realized I forgot to water them! Ashamed, I ran out in my PJ and water them — they all signed a relief after a hot summer day (Portland, OR). That was my first taste of telepathic communication with the plants. Now I understand how others (ancient and current) can get information…. it’s so subtle, but if you concentrate, it’s understood!
pLEASE notify me when video series on herbs airs. THANK YOU!
